The 2026 Trinamool Congress (AITC) split refers to the fracturing of the regional party that has governed West Bengal for fifteen consecutive years into two rival factions in June 2026. The rupture created the Mamata Banerjee–Abhishek Banerjee bloc and the Ritabrata Banerjee–Sandipan Saha bloc within the party following its defeat in the 2026 West Bengal polls. AITC was established in 1998, and the Election Commission of India recognises it as a regional party.
